APC reacts to election shift, says it's “highly provocative”
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has just heard over the news media that The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has decided to postpone the elections by six weeks on the strength of a letter by the security chiefs that they cannot provide security for the elections nationwide because of the commitment of its resources to fight insurgency in the north eastern part of the country.
This is clearly a major setback for Nigerian democracy, and our Party is meeting in emergency session to study its implications and will inform Nigerians of its decisions in the next few days.In the meantime, though what has happened is highly provocative, I strongly appeal to all Nigerians to remain calm and desist from violence and any activity which will compound this unfortunate development. We must not fall into this obvious trap. Change we must. They can only delay it; No one can stop it.
I want to assure all Nigerians that the All Progressives Congress will not abandon its commitment to change and will sustain the struggle to establish a new Nigeria.

Bruce Jenner in horrible car crash; one person dead
Bruce Jenner was involved in a horrific car accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu at around noon Saturday and one person is dead ... TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us ... there were 3 vehicles involved in the crash. We're told there were 8 people involved and all sustained some sort of injury ... but one person died at the scene.
One law enforcement source said Bruce seems to be ok, but again, we're told the 7 survivors sustained some injuries, ranging from minor to moderate.

This video made me cry - Denrele pays tribute to Goldie on Ndani TV
This video made me cry , *wipes face*, Denrele said virtually everything - from her foray into music, her relationship with Prezzo, her relationship with Andre, her husband and the tribute he (Denrele) gave at the end - it was so emotional.
The video is a bit long, 16minutes but here are some of the major things he said about:
1.Goldie was actually planning to shoot a video with Ciara...
2. Her last words: Denrele, my friend had this kind of headache before she died, I don't want to die, pray for me
3. When she needed the celebration, nobody had time for her but now that she is dead, everyone is calling me for interviews and celebrating her, it's not fair

EFCC Declares Nyako & Son Wanted… And His Reply Will Shock You!
Oh dear the embattled former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, has been declared wanted by the anti- graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission along with his son, Abdul Aziz Murtala Nyako, a retired Naval officer. Both are wanted in a case of criminal conspiracy, stealing, abuse of office and money laundering.
But when Premium Times got in touch with Nyako through his media assistance, Ahmed Sajoh, what Nyako said will surprise you. He described President Jonathan’s government, as a government that allows bad people move and enjoy freely in the country, while the good ones are being hunted for. He then described his being wanted as a ‘last kick of a dying horse’ saying the president will soon be kicked out of office. The embattled former Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, on Wednesday blasted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] for declaring him and his son wanted.
The former governor described the anti-graft agency’s latest ambush on him as the last kicks of a dying horse, saying President Goodluck Jonathan, will soon be kicked out of office.
Mr. Nyako who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES through his media assistant, Ahmed Sajoh, also noted that the Jonathan administration is intimidated by the soaring support he (Nyako) has continued to get even after he left office.
“I am not aware of being declared wanted. But that is good,” Mr. Nyako said.
“If you are wanted by a rouge system, it means you are a good person. Has this government gone after anybody that is bad? They only run after the good people and allow the bad people to roam around them, live happily and enjoy whatever bad things they are doing.”
Mr. Nyako said he is not surprised at the latest action of the EFCC and noted that many more Nigerians will be declared wanted by the government.
He argued that the government is being intimidated by the mammoth crowd that turned out for the All Progressives Congress, APC, rally in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
According to him, the Jonathan government is afraid that even when he (Nyako) was no longer in office, the people of Adamawa State still love and support him.
He drew attention to how the crowd went wild with dancing when one of the songs eulogising the former governor was played at the APC rally in Yola, saying no amount of blackmail can stop the people from loving Mr. Nyako.
“When the time comes for them to be declared wanted nobody will sympathise with them,” he concluded.

TransAsia crash: The lucky 15 that survived - including 2yr old boy
A TransAsia airways plane carrying 58 people crashed into a river this morning just three minutes after it took off in Taipei, Taiwan, and 15 people miraculously survived the crash, including a 2 year old boy. The 15 were pulled from the wreckage of the plane by rescuers, 43 others are either dead or missing. Sad. The little boy who was rescued wasn't even seriously injured. See the pics after the cut..
