Reality TV Shows Not Created To Dupe Nigerians—MTN Project Fame Winner, Ayo

Click for Full Image SizeSeason 5 winner of MTN Project Fame, Ayobami Ayoola, better known as Ayo, has stressed that reality television shows are not created to extort Nigerians of their hard-earned money as some may be thinking.

The budding singer made this clarification in an exclusive chat with Nigeriafilms.com. He said MTN Project Fame in particular, has been a transparent platform which has produced great talents in the industry.

“I can only speak for the MTN Project Fame West Africa platform, it is a very transparent, straight forward platform, as real as it can be. They produce talents, and brush them up for the real industry, and of course there are proofs everywhere, myself inclusive,” he said.

“Extortion? Hahaha, it’s amazing the angle from which we see things, it’s far from extortion, and of course it plays a huge role in the economic growth of our country. It is the contribution of the sponsor, MTN, as their coporate social responsibility. It really does support and takes a huge load off the government's back,” he said when asked if these shows are used to dupe viewers.
